Senior Process Engineer

Urgent Senior Process Engineer - 12 month contract - Aberdeen

My client are a global Oil and Gas Operator based in Aberdeen, they are urgently looking to recruit a highly experienced Lead Process Engineer who will provide process technical/engineering inputs to studies, modifications and projects definition for offshore and onshore UK installations. In this role your main responsibilities will be to ensure clear and concise Process or Multi Discipline scopes of work are produced, leading to site modifications improving safety/efficiency/reliability

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform role of Proponent Engineer and propose and justify modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety/efficiency/reliability of equipment.
Ensure all modifications meet statutory and Company standards, adhere to the 'Request for Modification' Procedure and are correctly closed out.
Act as the Operations and Technical Representative during the whole design process
Technically responsible for review and final approval of estimates, work scopes and modification documentation provided by the engineering design contractor.
Responsible for input to the Engineering plan to ensure that all modifications are captured and progressed in a timely manner.
Carry out routine review of Stream Cases (company database system to track integrity threats and improvement opportunities) and ensure that the status is regularly updated and prioritised
Attend safety related meetings as a representative of Operations: Risk Assessment, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Assessment.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers within and without discipline team. Where opportunity presents, mentors/provides professional development of a less experienced engineer with the goal of becoming chartered.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Process/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Appropriate experience in oil and gas process/production
Good knowledge of onshore/offshore/pipeline process and production systems
Good computer skills - technical, office, process modelling systems, etc.
Knowledge of industry norms and specifications
Experience of working on an operations site environment, either on or offshore would be very beneficial
