Senior Process Engineer

Experienced Chemical Engineer responsible for directing capital project and technology development activities for advanced thermal conversion (ATC) using gasification and pyrolysis and other advanced power generation projects. Duties may include leading a team consisting of process engineers, mechanical, electrical and control engineering functions for project development (HMB, PFD, etc.), developing new equipment and/or process designs and improving existing equipment and/or process designs. Also responsible for supporting start-up and commissioning plans, development of operations and maintenance procedures, and supporting construction of advanced power generation facilities. Successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in development and growth of less experienced Process Engineers. Educational Requirements: Masters level degree in Chemical Engineering is desirable. Mechanical engineers with significant process engineering/operations experience will also be considered. Ability to use design tools such asAspen, ChemCad, gProms, Matlab is desirable. Ability to use AutoCad P&ID, SolidEdge desirable Job Experience: A minimum of five years experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: Project development including equipment and/or chemical process design. Process simulation specific to project development activities. Design and/or operation of: Gasification or other advanced power generation technologies Solids fluidization and transport processes Fixed bed reactors Multistage separations processes (stripping, scrubbing, absorption, etc). Specific experience with acid gas removal would be beneficial. Process integration and optimization of multistage compressors.
