Senior Process Engineer

A leading engineering firm is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer to develop P&ID's, PFD's and conduct related engineering calculations. This position requires at least 5+ years of process engineering experience in a refinery, petrochemical or related facility. This is slated as a contract-to-direct placement although highly qualified candidates will be considered for permanent placement as well. This opportunity is located in the Chicago area and relocation assistance will be considered on a case by case basis for highly qualified regional candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop P&ID's and PFD's.
- Size equipment, complete related process engineering calculations for equipment and instrumentation data sheets.
- Create heat and material balances.
- Evaluate feasibility studies for projects.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Chemical Engineering
- 5 + years of experience working as a process engineer for a Refinery, Chemical Process and/or Chemical Manufacturing Facility.
- PE is a plus.
- Experience with ASPEN HYSIS is a plus.
