Senior Process Engineer

The Senior Process Engineer is principally a design delivery role from a technical perspective working across a multi-disciplined design team. The Senior Engineer is usually responsible for delivering the design within their own discipline with frequent liaison/management of engineers within the design team from other disciplines. The Senior Engineer also provides technical guidance and imparts knowledge to Lead Engineers, Design engineers, Graduates and Designers.

Duties will include:
*Development of designs to satisfy technical specifications together with checking and approving the design of other engineers within the team.
*Lead optioneering studies, and, design and safety reviews (risk assessments/ HAZOPEURs) from technical standpoint within the discipline
*Close liaison with the client and project team for the preparation and delivery of technical documentation throughout the design process
*Ensure quality and delivery of design documentation throughout the design process including scope of works, method statements, risk assessments, technical files and other technical documentation to comply with design standards, safety legislation/regulatory requirements and the needs of the client
*Management of installation, commissioning and operating documents
*Allocation of work to other members of team in order to ensure delivery of design to quality, time and budget
*Selection, strategy and management of work to sub-contractors

The successful candidate will/have:
*Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position within a project based environment
*Experience in the nuclear sector is required. It is a requirement of the position to demonstrate experience gained in a design delivery role ideally from a highly regulated industry
*Experience of delivering EURsafeEUR designs and risk/safety management as a deliverable. This could be from but is not limited to the Defence, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Water or Food industry sectors
*Technical process engineering experience in radioactive waste management, decommissioning and effluent (aerial and liquid) treatment. This could be gained from site works on Power Stations, Surveillance and Maintenance activities on processing sites and effluent treatment plants operating with stringent discharge constraints.
*Experience and/or ability of leading a technical team within a professional project delivery environment are necessary for this position

Qualifications required:
Degree qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline is essential. Chartered Engineer (IChemE) status is expected for this position and is largely driven by client expectations. A full UK drivers licence is essential for this position as travelling between offices will be necessary to undertake the duties.
