Projektbeschreibung

Senior Policy Advisor

Salary: £47,445 - £56,597

Location: Whitehall, London Fixed term contract 18-24 months with possible extension or permanency We are looking for a number of senior policy advisors to join our growing organisation on an 18-24 month fixed-term contract, in order to aid in the development and implementation of a number of high profile reforms. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring they are well informed of policy, and disseminating their views and opinions back into the organisation. You will need to develop, or already possess, a strong working knowledge of the energy markets in order to effectively influence and manage expectations to ensure buy in from commercial stakeholders. In addition, you will be instrumental in developing key new areas of energy policy, by analysing a wide range of information and consultation documents, and incorporating these into policy recommendations. As a member of the DECC leadership team, you will also need to display an overarching awareness of the wider programme and how individual policy strands fit into the wider strategic output. We are looking for intelligent, ambitious candidates with excellent written and verbal communication, and a desire to influence key areas of policy, ensuring that they are viable throughout both development and subsequent implementation. Candidates must also have excellent political and strategic awareness, with strong interpersonal skills. Due to the often technical nature of the policy, a background or understanding of the energy market would advantageous, but is non-essential, although an understanding of how policy can impact upon commercial outcomes is essential. In addition to offering an attractive salary package, plus civil service benefits, you will also gain an invaluable opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team at the forefront of delivering key public sector reform that will shape the future of the UK's infrastructure and energy market.
