Senior Platform Engineer - AWS/Docker/Terraform

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our client in help building, configuring and maintaining a Platform as a Service. You will be part of the Data Team. This team is responsible for building, running and maintaining a key Digital product; Data Platform as a Service, enabling a full-stacked data team to run and manage their applications and services on AWS using AWS out-of-the-box solutions or custom built ones. This team works in fast-paced dynamic cycles, using Agile and Scrum ways of working to ensure this.

>_THE IDEAL APPLICANT

- 5+ years' experience working in similar role working on platforms for web-based applications
- Strong experience with AWS - Orchestrating Services; Redshift, S3, EMR, EC2, Kinesis
- Strong experience with DOCKER in a professional environment
- Experience with DEVELOPMENT - Programming and/or Scripting
- Experience with PROVISIONING tools - TERRAFORM, Ansible, Chef, CloudFormation
- Good understanding of what makes a PLATFORM AS A SERVICE

- Helping in BUILDING, CONFIGURING and MAINTAINING a PAAS on top of AWS based on AWS-Services, TERRAFORM and DOCKER-based applications
- Support the Data Team so they can make optimal use of the PAAS
- Work both COLLABORATIVELY and INDEPENDENTLY in an AGILE/SCRUM Development Cycle environment with a CROSS-FUNCTIONAL DATA team and an EXISTING PLATFORM development team
