Senior Planning Officer

A client of mine, a leading Educational Institute, has an opening for an experienced Planning Officer to work within their Planning and Resource division.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Higher Education Institute, in a lead planning support role that will involve coordinating the annual student number planning timetable, including the collection and review of student number plans for all students from divisions, the Department for Continuing Education and the colleges, societies and Permanent Private Halls on a regular basis.

The candidate will be responsible for generating and providing student number planning data to divisions to complement the planning process, and to colleges, Graduate Admissions and Funding and other committees as required, as well as preparing the student numbers for HEFCE Accountability Return.

It is essential for the candidate to have the following:

- ability to demonstrate strong numerical analysis skills, managing datasets that are both complex and large
- ability to demonstrate confidence and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel;
- ability to rapidly develop detailed knowledge of new technology and complex processes, including the ability to learn a programming language;
- ability to analyse written and numerical information and draw inferences from the material supported by argument and evidence
