Senior Planning Analyst

Our client is a leading telecoms company based in Dundee seeking a Senior Planning Analyst to support the European Sales VP's on a contract to cover maternity.

The Senior Planning Analyst is a key member of the Europe Region finance team based in Dundee, Scotland. This position supports the Europe Sales CFO in providing timely, and accurate financial information to the European Sales VP's and other members of the Europe Sales Leadership team. This is a temporary role to cover a period of maternity leave. The role will be for a minimum of 12 months.

Under limited supervision you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing complex financial information, plans and projects utilizing knowledge of traditional financial theory. Performs analysis of financial studies and prepares summary reports for management. Makes recommendations for financial policies and guidelines to improve company's financial position. Prepares comprehensive reports and projections on financial performance of company. Typically reports to Financial Planning Manager or finance executive. Typically requires a college degree and 1 to 3 years related experience or an MBA degree.

Experience Preference
- A minimum of 8 years experience in a sales FP&A/finance role
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field
- Professional accounting certification preferred (ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience working with -Business Objects, HFM, Oracle ERP an advantage
- Must be an advanced user of Excel
- Good accounting knowledge, with the ability to understand, and communicate financial policy/Corporate Governance to non financial managers
- Successful candidate demonstrates a proactive approach and sense of urgency
- Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, meet monthly/quarterly reporting deadlines as well as deliver on commitments
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
