Senior Pipeline Engineer - Aberdeen - 12 month - October Start - Good Rates

My client is currently looking for a senior pipeline engineer. You will provide comprehensive engineering support related to the design, fabrication, manufacture, installation and pre-commissioning of subsea pipelines and the associated equipment.

Duties Include:
*Progression of the design of subsea pipeline systems;
*Production of design reports to a high standard and quality;
*Manage deliverables in a timely manner to schedule and budget;
*Maintain and develop current knowledge on the latest innovations and developments within the industry;
*Travel offshore and/or overseas as required.

Candidates must possess:
*Knowledge to progress the design of subsea pipelines - eg wall thickness, stability, expansion, free span, pipeline walking, upheaval buckling, lateral buckling etc.;
*Ability to use engineering software such as FS 2000, Abaqus, Ansys, Mathcad etc.;
*Knowledge of subsea connection systems for pipelines;
*Comprehensive experience in the design of tie-in spools and the design of their components;
*Knowledge of pipeline installation methods and their requirements;
*Ability to produce specifications and drawings as necessary;
