Senior Peoplesoft Developer, Banking (Long term Contract, Basel)

For our esteemed banking client with a global reputation for excellence in their field, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior PeopleSoft Developer with profound experience of the Financials Module for a challenging long term contract in the heart of Basel, Switzerland.

SENIOR PEOPLESOFT DEVELOPER, BANKING (LONG TERM CONTRACT, BASEL)

As Senior PeopleSoft Developer, your role will include the following tasks:

- Scopes, analyses, designs, tests and develops enhancements to the existing Peoplesoft Financials and HR environments; ensure maintenance and support as well as required technical upgrade and patching cycles
- Undertakes analysis of business requirements, extracts technological needs out of users' requirements and translates them into detailed system specifications
- Ensures that the design meets business requirements and that the stakeholders have understanding of the benefits, drawbacks, risks, costs and time scales of design decisions
- For designated systems, prepares system test cases and plans, and assists customers in preparing their test cases. Executes, records, analyses and reports results of system tests
- Ensures all appropriate systems documentation is prepared and maintained in accordance with standards and conventions in place
- Provides support for designated production systems on her/his own or with help of internal or external resources
- Keeps Line Manager and Project Manager informed of progress, risks and timeline challenges

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

- At least five years' experience as an application developer with PeopleSoft Enterprise: Financials (Must) and HRMS (Strong asset)
- Profound experience designing solutions and creating functional specifications
- Good knowledge of business processes in finance, procurement and HR domains
- Knowhow of PeopleSoft application and web server infrastructure on Windows Servers
- Strong track record with documentation standards
- Beneficial would be experience with other non-PeopleSoft reporting tools (such as Business Objects)
- Very good communication and presentation skills
- Outstanding problem solving skills and analytical approach
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
