Senior Oracle DBA (M/F)

We from GFT are searching for our client near Munich, a Senior Oracle DBA (m/f)

GFT ist searching a Senior Database Administrator (m/f) who will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database. Additional role requirements include planning, system development and troubleshooting.

- Overall database technical responsibilities, also encompassing the integration af add-on commercial database products suites
- Customization, maintenance und support under 7x24 rigorous operational conditions
- Close integration work with various development teams for supporting and promoting products, features, and releases
- Problem determination & debugging
- Diagnostic and tuning strategy for demanding OLTP applications, including SQL optimization
- Planning, scheduling and securing database backups
- Evaluation of new products and technologies
- Architecture of databases
- Project management and/or team core-member representation
- On-call roaster participation

- Proven expirience with Oracle
- In-depth Oracle DBA operational skills
- Data modeling and database designing
- Expert core technology skills with handy-on exposure on latest or mainstream engine versions and features (primarily Oracle, MySQL is a plus)
- Extensive field experience in supporting critical production HA workloads
- Expert HW, OS, and SAN infrastructure knowledge
- Proficieny in scripting (i.e. shell, perl, python)
- Extensive familiarity with tuning tools (i.e. OEM's, SQL analyzer, Statspack, AWR, TOAD etc.)
- Proficiency with RDBMS memory architecture and associated tuning techniques
- Expertise in SQL and RDBMS programming language extensions
- Exmperience with installation, configuration and deployment of concurrent HA paradigms including exposition to multi-node installations and related load balancing solutions (i.e Oracle and RAC on different nodes with ASM)
- Hands on experience in database backups and recovery strategies
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong project management skills

Experience with Oracle Golden Gate is a plus
