JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Good knowledge of database concepts, object and Datamodelling techniques and design principles.
- Translates object and data models into appropriate database schemas within design constraints.
- Interprets installation standards to meet project needs and produces database components as required.
- Evaluates potential solutions, demonstrating, installing and commissioning selected products.
- In depth knowledge of database design, scalability, availability and normalization
- Experience with Oracle monitoring, optimization and performance tuning
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with knowledge and experience of supporting Oracle 10.2 databases.
- In-depth experience with Oracle RAC Database creation and maintenance
- Experience and knowledge with Dataguard Standby configuration and failover
- Experience in Backup and recovery, including RMAN
