Senior Oracle Database Developer

A new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Oracle Database Developer has arisen for a fantastic company based in Brussels.

To apply for this role you must have the following skills & experience:

- Minimum 9 years of higher studies and professional experience
- Minimum 6 years in Oracle DB, 2 years in Java Applications, 2 years in SOA
- Excellent knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture
- Knowledge of Oracle SOA suite, Oracle Service Bus
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle databases
- As a Senior Oracle Database Developer you will have knowledge of UML
- Good knowledge of J2EE (EJB/Spring) development tools
- Good knowledge of Java/JSP
- Knowledge of BEA WebLogic
- Knowledge of Maven for testing purposes
- A Senior Oracle Database Developer will have In-depth knowledge of integration, build and test methodologies
- Capability to work in English
- Capability to work in team in a multicultural and multilingual environment
- Capabilities to draft documents in English, hold meetings and keep the minutes
- Knowledge of financial regulation and/or accounting information systems of the European Institution would be an asset

As a Senior Oracle Database Developer your tasks & responsibilities will include:

- To participate to the reengineering of a system for electronic exchange of data concerning shared Fund management to take advantage of the architecture and functionalities of a system for electronic exchange of data concerning shared Fund management as much as possible
- Respond rapidly to the incoming defects and change requests in system for electronic exchange of data concerning shared Fund management
- Enrich the User Interface based on Vaadin components and add new business functionalities already defined in the analysis for system for electronic exchange of data concerning shared Fund management
- Help in the definition of the new architecture and functionalities for encompassing the system for electronic exchange of data concerning shared Fund management specific business rules and/or reengineering the product
- Develop a new user interface for the outdated financial module, and maintain the PL/SQL layer
- Interfacing with WFS and the New Workflow system, Wave
- Define, write and maintain technical analysis and architecture documents with the highest standards
- Integrate User and Security Management module
- Align the Back Office with the evolution of the modules in the Front Office
- Enrich and improve the interfaces with the Front Office and the Back Office
- Analysis, design, validation and implementation of appropriate technology solutions
- Animation of and participation in weekly status meetings
