CONNECT44 IS LOOKING FOR HIGHLY EXPERIENCED AND MOTIVATED PROJECT OR PROGRAM MANAGERS IN THE KEY DOMAIN OF ENERGY & UTILITIES. THE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE UTILITIES INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE AND BE STRONG IN CUSTOMER INTERACTION AND BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN FURTHER EXPANDING THE ENERGY AND UTILITY BUSINESS BY GETTING DEEPLY INVOLVED IN AND MANAGING TOTAL BUSINESS SCOPE AND DELIVERY PRECISION FOR ENERGY & UTILITIES PROGRAMS.

In this role you will work centrally and will be part of a global team of highly skilled industry experts within the domain of Energy & Utility working with sales/account teams, operations teams and the customer. Your Program may often span multiple offices in different time zones.

Responsibilities

To deliver/manage large complex ICT & Systems Integration Utilities focussed program through all phases: presales, analysis, dimensioning, planning, execution and closure.
To manage the program team to ensure their commitment and full alignment to key objectives and success factors.
Prepare full suite of program documentation including, but not limited to: detailed costs, scope of work, status reports, trackers, risk and mitigation planswith a strong focus on improving margins.
To achieve add on sales during program delivery and identify new business opportunities.
Manage and lead both technical and non-technical resources across different locations globally if required.
To manage 3PP partners including price negotiation, delivery precision and performance management.
To maintain stakeholder management during the program life cycle with a strong focus on the customer relationship and developing new Business opportunities.
Deliver the program according to the company defined methodologies and controls.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Industry
More than 3 years' experience in running projects/programs in the area of Energy & Utility.
A solid understanding of the Utilities market and specifically experience of Smart Meter and Smart Grid Communications.
Knowledge of the Utilities ecosystem and vendors (meters), value chains, regulatory environment, processes & operations in the Smart Metering (Utilities) industry.
Demonstrated competence in delivering complex Smart Metering projects and Meter Management solutions in a project/program management role.
Experience and understanding the smart meter vendor landscape and the specific opportunities, challenges and risks faced by Utilities in their Smart Meter activities.
A solid understanding of the Utilities market Smart Grid Communications solutions such as Grid Control and Asset Management.

Project Management
8+ years International Customer Project/Program Management experience in an ICT environment.
Strong Leadership skills - this is a key requirement of the role, with evidence of having been identified as a leader within previous teams, roles or assignment & leading diverse teams across countries and in varied situations.
Previous experience with rollout and deployment projects
Previous experience management ASP's and knowledge of the Ericsson processes for managing preferred suppliers
Demonstrated experience of using a PM model of delivery.
3PP experience including negotiating price, quality, and performance management.
Strong competence in PM Tools, MS Project, MS Office & Budget applications.
Proven experience in problem solving and handling customer escalations, and the ability to do so under pressure and tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders for the good of the business.
Proven experience from translating a Utility's Smart Metering business needs into an appropriately scoped project taking into consideration business, technical and operational aspects in order to mitigate delivery project/program risks.
Capability to co-ordinate geographically distributed project teams.
Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills.

Technical
Understanding of how ICT enables a Utilities transformation through deploying management technologies.
Understanding of technical issues to be considered in scoping and management of a smart meter implementation project.
Experience in pre-sales & delivery as a project/program manager with solid understanding of IT management and architecture methods such as SOA, TOGAF, ITIL, and ITSM.
