Senior Operations Geologist

**Must be authorized to work in the USA**

Responsibilities:

Advise the Project Geologist, Lead Drilling Manager and other company drilling engineers on a geologic related interpretation and other issues.

Serve as liaison for transfer and communication of G&G data daily between the rigsite and the office based Integrated Project Team (G&G Operations, Drilling, Completions, and Reservoir Engineering)

Generate detailed daily and end of well reports and coordinates transfer and shipment of all G&G data and samples.

Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of related industry experience.

Working knowledge and recent experience with various tools used in G&G Operations: PC programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Boresight, Petra, Kingdom).

Candidate needs basic knowledge and experience of mudlogging operations, sample examination, petrophysics, LWD and wireline data acquisition.

Working knowledge of and a willingness to learn more about geotechnical operations support in the following areas:

* Conventional coring, DST, wireline, and LWD formation evaluation tools, operation, and interpretation, and the integration into well design and execution.

Have understanding of the well planning process and how it applies to the well execution.

Ability as an earth scientist to effectively communicate, interact, and make things happen in a drilling operations workgroup.

Should possess quick, accurate thinking, and decision making skills, and proven ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Applicant will need sufficient flexibility to work occasional long hours and an irregular work schedule tied to drilling operations.

Ability as a leader to foster cooperation and teamwork across organizational and functional boundaries.

Demonstrated willingness and aptitude to transfer technology, skills and knowledge by training and mentoring others.

Education:

A Master's Degree in an Earth Science related discipline; or a Bachelor's Degree in Geological Engineering along with adequate relevant experience may be considered.
