Senior Operational Risk Officer

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Operational Risk Officer to join our client, a leading global financial services company based in London

Key responsibilities of the Senior Operational Risk Officer will include:
-The role supports the EMEA Head of Global Operations in preparation for the new PRA regulations for Senior Management Regime.
-The role will be managed in the Operations Control & Risk Department (OC&R) with the Line Risk Management working closely with the Investment & Private Banking Operations Senior management team as a collaborative partner within the Operational Risk discipline.
-This high-profile role, working with stakeholders at the Director & Managing Director level aims to evaluate & propose governance structure in readiness for the new regulation.
-The role will be based in London and faces off to the Operations Regional Management committee for the UK regulated entities business.
-Detailed understanding of the Statutory Management Requirements and how it translates to EMEA Operations
-Risk assess and understand current process and evaluate requirements under new regulation. Ability to influence future governance structure.
-Document governance proposal for readiness and seek appropriate approval across the EMEA Operations Regional Management Team.
-Working closely with EMEA Operations Regional Management Team to agree and implement process for ensuring compliance with governance proposal, testing and evidencing.

The ideal Senior Operational Risk Officer will possess the following attributes/skills:
-In-depth Operational Risk experience
-Detailed understanding of the Statutory Management Requirements and standards
-Excellent PowerPoint & Word skills
-Advanced communication skills - candidate will be expected to articulate and challenge complex risk topics in a structured, targeted and impactful manner.
-An inquistive and control mindset with a desire to build professional relationships.
