Senior Offshore Engineer - Edinburgh

Senior Offshore Engineer - Edinburgh - Competitive MyEdinburghbased renewables client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Offshore Engineer to join their rapidly growing team - they have a pipeline full of project work which will guarantee steady growth through to 2020 and beyond. This role will offer you the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the engineering process including the planning and implementation of the offshore operations. You'll be responsible for the subsea infrastructure as well as the operation of various in house equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Detailed design of cable systems, various components and bespoke installation equipment - Complex analysis using in-house software - Calculations relating to strength & fatigue for lines and cables - Risk assessment for offshore operations - Execute planned procedures (ie ROV work, supervise vessel crew, liaise with relevant stakeholders) Required Skills: - Degree educated (ideally in offshore/marine engineering) - 5+ years commercial experience in similar position - Must be able to manage workload efficiently whilst demonstrating your ability to work with autonomy Nice to have: - Exposure to analysis software such as OrcaFlex (or comparable programs) - Hands-on experience of offshore/subsea construction operations - Exposure with design systems international codes and standards In return, you'll be offered the opportunity to work for a technically leading organisation in an ever evolving renewables sector.
