Senior Network Specialist

A leading QLD employer is looking for a Senior Network Specialist to join their team on a 5 month contract basis.

THE PRIMARY DUTIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

- Provide expert advice into detailed design reviews and associated technology assessments.
- Proactively identify and problem solve the introduction of integrated technologies within an enterprise production environment.
- Understand and assess the risk of introduction of non-standard technologies into an enterprise production environment.
- Constructively represent the Program in the successful implementation of integrated technologies

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL HAVE:

- Proven ability to promote, participate and contribute in a highly skilled technical project team providing high-level technical direction, standardisation and 3rd level support of enterprise infrastructure in a complex delivery project model.
- Proven high level understanding and working knowledge of relevant technical domains.
- High performance/availability routing and switching experience within a Local Area Network Environment (including L2/L3 MPLS).
- High performance/availability campus-wide Wireless LAN for VoIP and RTLS (Real Time location services).
- High performance/availability security infrastructure (including Firewalls, IPS/IDS, NAC).
- High level analytical, conceptual and problem management skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical design requirements, systems and test coverage within a complex information and communication technology environment.
- Proven ability to manage and contribute to the development, publication, implementation, quality assurance and compliance to technical policies, standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
- Experience or the ability to quickly learn HP Openview Service Centre application and ITIL Service Management processes, primarily Incident/Problem/Change/Configuration
