For one of our clients we are currently offering a position as SENIOR NETWORK OPERATIONS ENGINEER (ISP). We will also inform you on any current opportunities with our customers.

The Senior Network Operations Engineer (ISP), defines the architecture, creates design and ultimo implements the fixed technologies, security and services as VOIP, FTTH, the customer's XDSL -based access solutions, IP-backhaul, MPLS and VPN architectures, DSLAM, DSLAM Provisioning interface, QOS for VoIP, Multicasting, Triple Play, Firewalls. Next to the Engineering tasks the Network Operations Engineer also has operational tasks and responsibilities, however his/her main focus will be on Engineering.

Goals

- Design and implement the network (incl. CPE) in accordance with the latest technologies and trends in line with the DTAG outlines;
- Operate and Maintain the Network: specifically for the Transport, IP systems environment of the customer in accordance with the defined Service Level Agreements, through incident, problem, configuration and change management processes;
- Second level support, 24/7 for the customer's Transport Network (DSLAM, Routers and all services (Internet, VoIP, etc);
- Technical operational interface for relevant third party equipment suppliers and DTAG;
- Supporting the business objectives together with the optimization teams and insuring the adequate quality of the network;
- All field activities related to the customer's transport, IP infrastructure and operational support and control towards relevant external parties;
- Reduce the cost of ownership of the customer's networks through best-in-class utilization of networks, cost-effective operation and maintenance practices, supported by high degree of automation and using the most efficient amount of people which have the right skills;
- Continuous improvement of Network/Service Quality, KPIs, SLA's and technology processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS SENIOR NETWORK OPERATIONS ENGINEER (ISP)

- Bachelor degree (technical/telecommunications);
- Excellent knowledge of TELECOMMUNICATIONS principles and practices;
- At least 3-7 years experience, preferably within a ISP company;
- Excellent knowledge of Routing and Switching equipment (Cisco equipment, Juniper Broadband Access Server);
- The Senior Network Operations Engineer accepts the ownership and coordination of timely delivery;
- Possess an in-depth knowledge/skill and is also able to apply this knowledge/skill to solve complex problems and issues;
- Acts as a facilitator and mentor and is able to move the team forward;
- Builds an environment that supports co-operation among the work team and with other areas within the organization;
- Leads E2Enetwork or service improvement task forces and projects;
- Participate with expertise in various Network IP domain oriented trials and projects;
- Coaching of Network Engineers and first line engineers in SMC;
- Supports manager in organizing, planning and improving team.
