Senior Network Operations Engineer (CCIE) - Banking Salary: Senior AVP, Investment Banking Salary + Benefits + Benefits Location:London A leading global investment bank is looking to hire a senior network operations engineer to ensure maximum uptime, optimisation and of global metropolitan and wide area networking infra, wireless, audio visual and IP telephony technologies. The engineer should be a very strong trouble shooter with good analysis skills, comfortable identifying and resolve issues across multiple site and multiple protocol enterprise networking environments. Key vendor technologies are Cisco R+S, with Fortigate, Checkpoint and Juniper firewalls and F5 load balancers. Ideal skill set: * CCIE standard network engineer * LAN/WAN protocols and tech (tcp/ip, multicast, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS) * Switched Ethernet and VLAN * Design and support of multi national enterprise switched and layer 3 LAN's and design/support of multicast LAN/WAN's * Knowledge of firewalls, wireless and switching hardware. * Knowledge of enterprise management platforms and protocol analysis equipment (CA spectrum/netscout) Due to the client facing nature of this role it is important that the engineer has strong communication and problem solving skills to handle a variety of enterprise escalations and also identify potential faults in the infrastructure before they even cause technical issues. The networking team is made up of highly personable engineers with a range and depth of technical experience so this is an ideal role for an experienced networking professional to settle long term and further develop their skill set whilst staying hands on with technology.
