Senior Network Engineer - 50-65K - Banking

Senior Communications / Network Engineer (Cisco) Salary: 50-65K+ banking benefits + bonus (also a junior level role 40-45K+) Location:LondonCity A boutique global investment bank is looking to hire a Senior Network engineer (Cisco R&S/ISO/CUCM) to manage, maintain, optimise and improve their Networking, Voice, Data and Network Security infrastructure estate. The engineer will join the engineering team that holds responsibility optimising and improving the banks Cisco routers and switches, Voice, LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls and data connectivity. The engineering team work on multiple projects, upgrades and implementations across the networking space and when required handle high level troubleshooting issues with the operations/support team. The engineer will be a senior member of the team and will have the opportunity to step up and deputise for the manager in his absence, so any team lead or guidance experience is desirable. There is also a junior level role in this team available working on support and getting hands on project experience if the senior role is too advanced for this stage in the engineers career. Ideal skill set/experience: * Cisco R&S (EIGRP, BGP), catalysts 6500, 4510, 3750 - ideally CCNP qualified * Cisco IOS * Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM) 7x/8x+ * Good knowledge of Network and Voice systems security and regulatory standards - Cisco and Checkpoint platforms * Video and Voice recording The bank has a pretty flat structure for a financial services organisation and a very strong focus upon finding not only the right technologists but also the right company fit in employees. They look for 'people people' who are sharp, analytical and highly personable who they will give the opportunity to get exposure across the bank and help to drive forward technology beyond just the needs of the organisation. For this reason while Banking/Finance experience is desirable but not essential.
