Senior Network Engineer

NETWORK ENGINEER, LAN, CCNA, ROUTING, SWITCHING, DATA CENTER, CYBER OPS

Start Date - This is an urgent hire to start immediately

Role based in - Brussels, Belgium. On site. No remote working.

Please note you need to be eligible to obtain Secret level clearance. This means you need to have been in the EU for 5 years to be able to obtain this clearance.

Duration - 12 months + possible extensions

English language has been confirmed as acceptable (without the French) in this instance

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Higher education in Computer Science, electronics, telecommunications or relevant subject

CCNA Routing and Switching Mandatory

CCNA Data Center (Desirable - not essential)

CCNA Cyber Ops (Desirable - not essential)

LANGUAGES, PROTOCOLS, STANDARDS AND METHODOLOGIES

Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP Data Networks (including CWDM, QOS) Mandatory - 10 years

Expertise in network protocols - Mandatory - 5 years

Expertise in network security - Mandatory - 5 years

Telecommunication protocols (VoIP, H232) - Mandatory - 5 years

Good knowledge of TCP/IP Voice Networks (including QOS, POE, ) - Mandatory - 5 years

Structural cabling - Mandatory - Mandatory - 1 year

ITIL (change management, incident management, configuration management, availability management) - Desirable

Experience in project management - Desirable
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT, TOOLS AND PRODUCTS

Excellent knowledge of administration of Ethernet switching and routing systems in large networks (>1000 nodes) on UTP and fibre optic cabling - Mandatory - 10 years

Excellent knowledge of network management, monitoring and debugging tools and Performance monitoring - Mandatory - 5 years

Very good knowledge of CISCO & Nexus application Switches - Mandatory - 5 years

Very good knowledge of F5 Application delivery controller, load balancing - Mandatory - 5 years

Excellent knowledge of administration of Fortinet(SSL acceleration, SSL VPN solutions) and High-grade encryption - Mandatory - 3 years

Excellent knowledge of networking for common operating systems - Mandatory - 3 years

Very good knowledge of DHCP/DNS Infoblox, Trinzic 825 w/Network Services One and Grid

Good knowledge of Crypto devices

Good knowledge of Proxy Servers

Good knowledge of UTP and fibre cabling systems

Excellent knowledge of dial-in systems with authentication and encryption

Experience in managing highly available environments and multiple site support

Experience in disaster recovery management at network level

Good knowledge of CyberArk (Desirable - not essential)

Basic knowledge of application layer XML filters (Desirable - not essential)

Good knowledge of appliance based caching and anti-virus solution (Desirable - not essential)

Good knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems (Desirable - not essential)
