Senior Network Engineer

For our client in the Telco sector we are looking for a senior network/IP engineer

Start: Oktober-November

Duration: 3 months initial contract (likely extension)

Location: Between Brussels and Antwerp

Language: English (Dutch is a big plus)

The IP team of our client (an ISP) is currently looking for an expert network engineer to assist in a few projects. Your expertise will mainly be focused on datacenters, the IP backbone & the core network. You need to have expert knowledge on IPv6 and MPLS. Knowledge of Unix/Linux and visualization will definitely be useful for your work in datacenters. The main vendors that are being used are Juniper and Alcatel-Lucent. Besides hands-on tasks, you'll need to be able to do your own designs and architectures.

Skills:

- Main focus on core and datacenter networks
- Expert knowledge op Ipv6
- MPLS (required)
- Security/Firewalls optional
- ALU (SR), Juniper (MX, QFabrix, EX) (required)
- Cisco (optional)
- Juniper SRX, Checkpoint (optional)
- System (Unix/Linux) and virtualization knowledge (asset)
- Good networking knowledge and experience

o Routing (IPv4, IPv6, protocols), switching, security/Firewalls,

o Larger, core networks to datacenters

- Application and system knowledge

o HTTP, SSL, DHCP, DNS, Linux, etc.
