Senior Network Engineer

Harvey Nash is looking for a Senior Network Engineer for a 7 month project in Switzerland. -You are responsible for :
-40% Support Calls (Tier 1/2): Handle first line escalations from Service Desk; IP Address assignments; Switchport and VLAN assignments; Performance and connectivity troubleshooting and Wireless connectivity troubleshooting
-30% Support Escalation, Advanced troubleshooting, Performance Monitoring, and continuous service improvement
-30% Project based
-Daily Support for Cisco Campus Network

Requirements:

-8 Years IT Experience and Minimum 5 years direct Network Experience in a Fast Paced Environment
-Expert configuring and supporting F5 LTM and GTM appliances
-Expert Level using TCPDUMP and Network Sniffers for Advanced troubleshooting
-The Candidate must have Expertise with Routing and Switching in Global Enterprise environment
-Hands on experience with Checkpoint Firewall/UTM
-Ability to Support and troubleshoot Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
-Must demonstrate proficiency in structured, problem-solving methodology
-Solid understanding of Cisco Wireless in the Enterprise
-Experience supporting either Cisco ASA for remote access
-QoS, VoIP, VRF, VRRP, HSRP, STP
-IPS Technologies - TippingPoint
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
-Very strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
-Must be team oriented (mentor to junior staff, sharing knowledge, cross training, documentation)
-Experience building metrics and reporting - trending
-Pluses would be: Cisco Wireless - WCS, WISM, Controllers, LWAP, Clean Air; Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K; Cisco CallManager, Un, IPCC; QIP DNS/DHCP IP Address Administration; Understanding of GxP Complian Juniper SSL VPN; RSA ACE - SecurID; CiscoWorks; Cisco ACS Servers; Riverbed¸ SolarWinds and SNMP
-afterhours and weekend support (fairly limited)
-Possible domestic and international Travel (limited)
-Must be able to carry 50lbs
