Senior Network Engineer

Contract Network VoIP/Wifi Engineer French/English Liege 1 year
A company based at Liege is currently looking for a Network engineer who speaks French and English for a basic contract of a year.
Daily duties:
-The Network engineer is a part of the ICT infrastructure team who supervised IT Infrastructure of 120 sites across all regions.
- The Network engineer is in charge for managing, maintaining and supporting the LAN and WAN environments and the associated management software.
- The Network engineer is in charge for monitoring and analysing the traffic on our network and working within the global IT team to develop and implement solutions to meet these requirements.
- You analyse the requests and design appropriate solutions to meet business needs.
- You ensure the appropriate monitoring of the infrastructure.
- As a Network engineer you are in charge for the Development and testing of disaster recovery plans for the environment.
- You ensure the reliability of our global VoIP and Wireless network by maintaining the SLA and also strong vendor management.
- You develop and maintain policies and procedures supporting the best practices.
-You provide second/third level of support to our local IT administrators (worldwide coverage);
Skills:
- You have strong skills with Wireless, VOIP technology, TCP/IP protocols, Switching (VLAN, Spanning Tree ), Routing, QOS and you strong experience with the following hardware/software.
- You have good experience with Cisco Wireless, VoIP solutions, Cisco Switches (6500, 3750, 2960 platforms), HP Procurve Switches (3500, 26xx, 25xx).
- Experience in Data Center environment (Virtualization, Blades, SAN, and Remote Management) and Backup and Disaster Recovery process.
- You must be proficient in Linux (Novell SLES) and Windows (2003/2008).
- Good English skills are mandatory as it's the working language of the team (the interview will be mainly conducted in English).
- You are a fast learner, with strong analytical & conceptual skills, a creative mindset and good communication skills (present information clearly and concisely).
-You have Strong analytical, technical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- You have 4-6 years of practical experience in a distributed systems environment, specifically in the areas of operations support and systems architecture.
- Experience in large environments with VoIP and Wireless infrastructures required.
- Experience in routing and switching is a plus.
- Must possess a very good understanding of network
