Senior Network Engineer

Montash are currently retained by a Global Organisation to source and secure a Senior Network Engineer.

Overview:
Provide network implementation and operational support in a 24x7x365 networking environment. Support Data/VoIP systems for an international enterprise network. Work in a high paced dynamic environment including contact centers, E-commerce, data centers and wide area networks.

Role:
The Senior Network Engineer will be the subject matter expert for routing, switching and Firewalls. The role is very much a technical and hands on position, so as the Senior Network Engineer you will possess good management skills combined with IT operations skills.

Skills:
- 5-6 years of experience
- Excellent Project leadership Skills
- Excellent Bi-Lingual Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills highly desired for our global team.
- Strong experience with network monitoring tools and proactive incident management.
- Excellent documentation skills and knowledge of project life cycle.
- Experience with global server load balancing, VoIP, and telephony solutions is preferred.
- Troubleshoot straightforward networking problems independently
- Evaluate, implement and monitor incoming network change requests
- Conduct network studies and performance analyses and recommend changes.
- Interface with Network Implementation and Engineering as necessary to support on-going network activities
- Provide input to cost/benefit analysis on intermediate projects.
- Monitor and respond to network incidents, triage and resolve the problem
- Participate in peer review of new or modified LANs/WANs/VoIP strategy and advise on impact of proposed network changes
- Perform quarterly proactive network testing to ensure proper functioning and reliability of the network

Qualifications:
- IT Science Degree or a similar field
