Senior Network Engineer

We are currently searching for a Network Engineer to work in The Hague, The Netherlands for 3 plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

Operational tasks
Operate and Maintain the Network of Online: specifically for the IP and Transport systems of Online in accordance with the defined Service Level Agreements, through incident, problem and change management processes.Support daily operations on disaster recovery, network maintenance 2nd and 3rd line support.
Performing advanced configurations of network systems, eventually in conjunction with external suppliers. Tune, and perform acceptance and regression tests on both the DSL network as well as the Modems used together with the suppliers.Resolve incidents by register, analyze, co-ordinate and guard progress, update incident tickets
Resolve incidents by co-ordinate 2nd/3rd line supplier support
Implement changes by administrate, analyze, plan, check, feedback (propose alternatives), test (rollback checks) and execute changes in line with change management process
Resolve problems by performing root cause analysis and implement changes for Network IP domain/services/elements
Responsible for the continuous performance of applications/systems by supporting performance management process with Transport
Network IP domain/element specific investigations
Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications
Advices management in improvement proposals
Knowledge share within team (WIKI updates, documenting workarounds, working procedures)
Creates operational procedures for incident and problem management for 1st line departments
Reports/presents progress reports on above topics
Responsible for assessing, validating and accepting of the Quality of new releases, new features, new network elements etc. and their impact on the Quality the network.
Define acceptance criteria and perform acceptance of new network elements and services integrated in live environment within projects
Improve the KPI to achieve or exceed the Network IP target.
Monitor network and system performance.
Pro-actively provide input for capacity and performance planning processes
Proactively detects performance trends, identify reasons and propose corrective solutions
Proactively takes actions meant to contribute the network perception improvement
Offer adequate support (within SLA) on customer driven RFI&RFQ processes & operational Trouble Tickets
Interface with the TMO organisation that leads to tangible synergy (time-, cost efficiency)

The (Sr.) Network Engineers, defines the architecture, create design and ultimo implements the fixed technologies and services as VoIP, FttH, Online's xDSL -based access solutions, IP-backhaul, MPLS and VPN architectures, DSLAM, DSLAM Provisioning interface, QoS for VoIP, Multicasting, Triple Play Next to the Engineering tasks the network engineer also has operational tasks and responsibilities, however his main focus will be on Engineering.
