Job Description & responsibilities
The role holders will work in the Maastricht affiliate where they will be part of a team to ensure the business continuity within the manufacturing site and offices. As a member of this team it's your job to support the LAN, WAN infrastructure. During these processes you will be working mainly with CISCO equipment.

He/she is responsible for the networking-related activities in our customers infrastructures located in Holland, Belgium and partially Germany. During the job you will be covering LAN, WAN, QoS, VPN, Wireless LAN.

The network Support Engineer will respond to user calls for support, gather information, analyze problems and requirements, provide first/second and third level problem support, resolve problems, or direct calls to the appropriate support agency where escalations are necessary.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent by experience
Preferably CCIE  certified or equivalent by experience
Preferably certified in at least 2 of the following products: Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco WIFI, Cisco ACE, Riverbed, Cisco LMS

Key skills
Experienced with operational network support
Good knowledge of LAN & WAN, their topology, protocols and technologies, how to troubleshoot them
Networking concepts (QoS/VoIP/LAN/WAN/WLAN/Security)
o Switch & routing: 99% Cisco
o Wireless: Cisco
o Firewalls: Cisco (ASA)
o Load Balancers: Cisco
o Wan Optimization: Riverbed
o Monitoring & troubleshooting: Nagios
Possess good analytical and diagnostic skills
Able to do project design and development: analysis, design, recommendations
Able to document the work, writing procedures
Good customer care skills
You are a team player with the capability of working cross-functionally with other program teams
You are Self-driven and autonomous

Working experience
7y+ in a senior role

Languages
Dutch & English are mandatory
German is definitely a plus

Start: December 1st
Duration: Long term 2 to 5 year contract
