Senior Network Architect

The Network Architect works with vendor counterparts, providing customer oversight on the application of complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity.

You will be in charge of the following tasks:

- Rapidly develop a thorough understanding of Network Infrastructure, Unified Threat Management (UTM) IP Routing, DNS, Security, HTTP(S), VPN, and Network Monitoring tools
- Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to infrastructure needs
- Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solution
- Evaluate products and solutions relating to UTM, Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and Security appliances for secure access to vital business applications
- Architect secure, robust reliable and scalable engineering solutions
- Provide expertise in core routing infrastructure, distribution and access switching environments within multiple Datacenters
- Evaluate wireless networking that supports open or secured access
- Manage assigned networking project components and deployments to deliver services in accordance with established project objectives
- Perform other duties as required

The Senior Network Architect will be responsible for analysing, designing and reviewing network infrastructure and network device software components for the client partners.

In addition, they will handle a wide variety of evaluation, automation, design and installation tasks to ensure LAN and WAN network performance meets the client partner and user satisfaction.

PROFILE:
You have an Engineering or a Master Degree in the IT field.
You have 15+ years' experience supporting production network environments, with internal and external routing protocols (OSPF, Spanning Tree, BGP) and with network address, subletting and managing allocation of IP subnets and address assignments.
You have in-depth 10 years' experience with Linux Systems Administration on multiple and virtualized, private cloud environments.
You are familiar with OSI model as applies to Client Server networking and able to maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls.
You have a strong organizational, interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
You are able to work in a team of diverse skills and to prepare technical documentations.
