Senior Negotiator - Legal Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Allegis Group Services are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Senior Negotiator - Legal Specialist to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Senior Negotiator- Legal Specialist, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

The key focus of the role is to negotiate framework agreements providing a platform for derivatives and capital markets transactions, such as the ISDA Master Agreement and collateral support agreement (CSA), Prime Brokerage, Finance Linked ISDA's.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

Besides derivatives documentation, you will undertake negotiations of other master agreements including but not limited to Prime Brokerage agreements, IFEMA, IDNA, REPO, Securities Lending, FX and other related agreements (eg. novation, guarantees, confidentiality agreements). Upon request, you will negotiate agreements for subsidiaries of the Bank, located in Europe (London), Asia (Hong Kong) and North America (Stamford and Chicago).

You will undertake negotiations independently with end users/clients based upon relevant credit approvals, internal instructions and procedures. You will be required to cooperate with and to coordinate with different internal clients, including credit risk, legal and business segments, as well as marketing and trading staff, whilst managing their own files and ensuring all performance targets achieved. From time to time, you will provide internal training among team members and to main stakeholders such as credit risk and business colleagues.

COMPETENCIES:

You will have previous work experience as a Senior Negotiator of master agreements in a leading investment bank and preferably a law degree (irrespective which area of specialism). Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for these roles.
