Job Title: Senior Naval Architect

Job Type: Contract

Location: Gosport

Duration: 6 months

Senior Naval Architect required to work for a Leading global defence company based in Gosport. To provide support to the Hydrodynamics team and be responsible for technically leading projects and sub-projects, working with project managers dealing with understanding customer requirements, bid documentation, scheduling, and running technical tasks.

Hydrodynamic problem solving forms the main part of the project work, identifying a methodology for solving a clients hydrodynamic issue mathematically or through model testing, conducting testing, report results and recommending a proposed solution. Projects may include the concept design of military and commercial vessels, potentially leading to feasibility design, detailed design, build oversight and trialling for vessel acceptance.

Experience & Knowledge

Must have:

. Experience of conducting hydrodynamic model experiments and full scale ship trials.

. Knowledge of CFD, ship stability.

. Good Knowledge and understanding of Commercial and UK Military Marine Industry.

. Degree qualified Naval architect, Engineer or Mathematician or Relevant technical Experience
