Senior MPLS Design Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Requirements analysis and detailed design of various technical aspects for MPLS core network on a project basis
- Translate requirements into technical specifications
- Work with project managers and peers to produce effort estimates
- Assess requirements and make design recommendations
- Produce models (integrated function, process dependency or entity relationship) that form the foundation for further analysis
- Develop architecture designs which are well-thought of, reasonable and practical
- Leverage customer methodologies to produce results in a timely and predictable manner
- Assess difficult requirements, processes them and form innovative models to arrive at solutions to address these requirements

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in a technical discipline (eg Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
- Must have CCIE-SP (Written and LAB)
- CCDE is a plus
- Juniper or Huawei expert level certificate is a plus
- ITILv3 is a plus
- PMP is a plus

REQUIREMENTS

- 5 years of Cisco MPLS Design Experience at Tier-1 Service Provider
- Must have Cisco CRS and MC (Multicasting)
- Cisco 7600
- Cisco GSR 12K
- ASR 9K
- Cisco Catalyst 6500
- Network Capacity Management
- Experience in redundancy architecture where more than 1 level of redundancy is exist
- Strong knowledge of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Strong understanding of system integration and hardware issues.
- Demonstrates core engineering competencies.
