Senior Mobile Data Service Engineer

I am currently looking for a SENIOR MOBILE DATA SERVICE ENGINEER TO Design and Implement standard to complex Mobile Data solutions meeting customer demands. The role is based in Brussels and will be for a long term contract position.

Description:

Implement IP Network solutions that enable the rollout of new Mobile Data products/services. The SENIOR MOBILE DATA  ENGINEER is the subject matter expert on all Mobile data products and services, including GRX,GPRS,MMS,SMS, Signalling. Candidate is also responsible for developing implementation guidelines, to assist the implementation team (delivery process)  and implementation practices that ensure the highest possible network reliability. He or she will also develop and execute training for less experienced teammates. The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as taking directions to accomplish both short term and long-term objectives. In depth data network design and engineering knowledge is required for this position.

YOUR MISSION

You prepare the design and documentation to activate new mobile data customers on the network.

You provide technical expertise internally to team members and other internal related departments.

You provide technical expertise to mobile operators customers network departments and assist them during provisioning and testing phases.

You coordinate and escalate necessary issues/problems to 3rd party vendors, customer network departments and peers.

YOUR PROFILE:

You have a master degree in electronics, informatics or telecommunication, or relevant work experience in a mobile service provider environment.

You have a Global view on the mobile data world ( MNO, MVNO )

You have very strong SS7, MAP and core network systems knowledge.

You have very strong  technical competence on mobile data products like : SMS,MMS, GRX/GPRS

Multi vendors experience is a plus

Experience with Cisco Routers/Switches (2900 series and  ME3400) platforms highly     desired,

Experience and knowledge of OSI L3 IP routing protocols  - BGP, IGP (ISIS )

You have knowledge and experience with Siemens STPs..

You have familiarity with GSM Association roaming related documents and working groups.

You are excellent Team player and flexible.

You have project management skills.

You have good analytical and communications skills.

You have strong customer services orientation and interpersonal skills.

You have good organizational and reporting skills

You are Fluent in English; any other language skills would be a definite advantage.

Duration - 3 months rolling  contract due to last 12 months

Start date: ASAP - Early Sep latest.
