Senior Microsoft and Virtualisation Infrastructure Specialist

Our Federal Government client is looking to for Senior Microsoft and Virtualisation Infrastructure Specialist on a contract.

This role is expected to provide assistance in the technical infrastructure implementation of:

- Microsoft Sharepoint, SQL2012, Server 2012 and associated activities
- Group policy
- System Centre - SCOM, SCCM and Service Manager
- The migration of virtualized Servers to new platforms (VMWare and HyperV).

This position will be located in Canberra and will report to the Manager ICT Infrastructure and Operations.Tasks

- Assist with the implementation of SharePoint 2013, Microsoft Server 2012 and associated Active Directory configurations.
- Ensure that the appropriate Microsoft System Centre changes are made to manage and monitor the new environment.
- Migrate existing virtualized workloads to the new infrastructure platform.
- Working with the applications team, assist in the migration of existing applications to the new environment.

Skills and Experience Required

- Experience as an IT Infrastructure Senior Microsoft Specialist
- Experience in VMWare and exposure to HyperV.
- Experience of working in an IT Infrastructure Senior Microsoft Specialist role;
- Communicates with influence, demonstrated technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical people.
