Senior Mechanical Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER III to join our client in Carlsbad, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- Duration: Approximately 19 months.
- Pay Range: Up to $ 50.96 per hour.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This temporary position will be part of the Electronics Technology Group, Organometallics Platform, and will be working in Container Development Group in Carlsbad, CA.
- The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional research team to design, document, and release information for new and modified high purity solid and liquid delivery containers.
- In addition, some hands on work in building prototypes will be required.
- Some performance testing, such as pressure drop or particle testing of finished containers, will also be a part of the role.
- The candidate will have safety responsibility for various operations including participation in relevant hazard reviews.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; masters' degree is a strong plus.
- Candidate must be able to function independently with limited direction from supervisor.
- Candidate must have experience with ProE 3D CAD software or other relevant 3D CAD programs.
- Candidate must have a strong awareness of and a good track record in safety.
- Candidate will be required to produce final release documents for the production of containers.
- Candidate will be required to build prototype containers and must be able to perform physical tasks associated with such construction.
- Candidate may be required to inspect returned containers and assist in developing cleaning methodology.
- Experience working in a chemical laboratory is a strong plus.
- Hands on experience with high purity gas handling or chemical delivery systems for the Semiconductor industry would be beneficial.
