Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Sr Manufacturing/Process Engineer needed for a fast paced; service oriented manufacturing environment. You will work within a framework of specific assignment objectives to develop improved products and processes. Projects will be designed to assist the plant in increasing production; improving quality; or reducing cost through process; product; equipment materials and/or methods of development and improvement. Temp to perm position located north outside of Greenville, SC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- 1.Determine process capability, equipment and methods to improve processes
- 2.Involved with the planning/completion of capital projects for the facility
- 3.Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel to solve daily problems and establish safeguards to minimize their occurrence
- 4.Assist in recommending new process equipment or the upgrade of current equipment or lines
- 5.Responsible for manufacturing documentation and monitoring machine tool forming compliance within the ISO 9001 standard
- 6.Develop and implement CAR's including method of tracking to realize ROI
- 7.Establish plans to correct or cancel projects that do not or will not meet objectives

REQUIREMENTS

- BSME or BSEE degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5-8 years experience in manufacturing operations. Advanced technical knowledge associated with a Master's Degree would be a plus
- Strong familiarity with application and usage of precision machining (.0127 mm tolerances or better) and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and theories and their application to pursue complex projects using precision metrology equipment (CMM, TSK, Tallysurf, etc.) including GDT.
- Experience in PLC controls and SPC software is desirable, as is a working knowledge of the ISO 9000 standard.
- Understanding in generating PFMEA's, DOEs, process sheets, control plans and DFM as well as creating machine specifications, purchases, runoffs, installs and the ability to launch product into production. Ability to evaluate and develop process input and output controls to measure and improve Cpk.
- Experience in manufacturing under the philosophy of lean manufacturing is highly desirable; a Green or Black Belt is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the AutoCAD family of software and Inventor or Solidworks is a plus.
