Senior Manual QA Tester

Our client on the West side of Cleveland has an immediate need for a Senior Manual QA Tester. This is a 4+ month project!

REQUIRED:

-

Must be an experienced SCRUM/Agile/ATDD tester with the ability to train others on the team on testing best practices.
-

Must have knowledge of continuous integration testing concepts.
-

Must be able to train others on testing concepts including: code coverage, writing and executing test scripts, prioritization of test cases for automation.
-

Experience with Browser Compliance test case development and execution.
-

Ability to lead, work independently or work collaboratively with team members in complex testing projects towards the overall enhancement of the product.
-

Possess excellent problem-solving skills, ability to follow industry standards and procedures for QA.

FLEXIBLE - able to accommodate changing priorities and amending acceptance criteria.

ARTICULATE AND PROACTIVE - needs to be able to ask valuable questions to ensure the acceptance criteria have uniform meaning to everyone.

EXPLORATORY TESTING - ability to account for many variables in an application.

EFFECTIVE ORAL COMMUNICATION - Needs to provide continuous feedback quickly and succinctly to the project team in order to meet timelines.
-

TRAINING OTHER PROJECT TEAM MEMBERS - Must have the ability to educate the team on testing processes, tools, types of testing,ie, System, Integration, Regression, Functional, End to End, Acceptance, UAT, etc.), writing solid story cards & defects as well as the application of quality principles.

ATTEND Daily SCRUMs, stand-ups, showcase and triage meetings

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

-

Manual testing: creation of test cases using standard documentation methods.
-

Use of Excel, Word and HP Quality Center.
-

Knowledge of Agile Scrum is essential.
-

Must be able to support weekend deployments on a once monthly basis.
