THE ROLE

SITTING IN THE HEART OF THE MARKETING FUNCTION; AS SENIOR MANAGER MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CAMPAIGN DELIVERY OF THE MOST DIFFERENTIATED BRAND COMMUNICATIONS IN MY CLIENTS CATEGORY, CHAMPION AND EXECUTE THE MARKETING PLAN AND WORK CLOSELY WITH THE TEAM TO DELIVER OUTSTANDING WORK INCLUDING TV AND TTL COMMUNICATIONS ALIGNED TO THE BRAND CHARACTER NARRATIVE.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY AS THE SENIOR MARKETING COMMUNICATION MANAGER WILL INCLUDE:

- Create and implement a communications framework for the clients known customers
- Utilise and use data to inform key marketing decisions to ensure customers are provided with inspiring and relevant communications.
- Set up the roadmap, strategy and vision for customer communication.
- Whilst being a completely new function to my client, this role will allow full ownership and opportunity to define and lead a fast growing area with full support of senior leadership.
- Assess factors that will influence customer engagement and usage and key metrics.
- Being the key driver of my clients communications strategy.
- Managing the creative execution for marketing campaigns.
- Managing agency resource and aligning with the communications team to ensure delivery of marketing plans and campaigns.
- Supporting the management of the marketing communications cost centre.
- Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, for example FSA's rules and principles.
- Develop the business story working with the marketing team to effectively communicate to business partners and senior stakeholders
- Have the ability to see from the customer's perspective and have an understanding of the customer experience.

TO EFFECTIVELY DELIVER WITHIN THIS ROLE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:

- AT LEAST 5-7 YEAR MARKETING EXPERIENCE FOR A LARGE CONSUMER BRAND
- EXPERIENCE LEADING AGENCY RELATIONSHIPS AND MARKETING TEAMS
- EXPERIENCE OF DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING MARCOMMS STRATEGY AT A SENIOR LEVEL WITHIN A MARKET LEADING ORGANISATION
- STRONG ADVERTISING AND DIGITAL BACKGROUND
- PROVEN ABILITY TO OPTIMISE AGENCY RELATIONSHIPS
- UNDERSTANDING OF CAMPAIGN METRICS AND COMMERCIAL IMPACT
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATOR BOTH ORAL AND WRITTEN
- STRONG PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS
- GOOD ORGANISATIONAL AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS
- STRONG RELATIONSHIP BUILDER
- THE ABILITY TO ACHIEVE THROUGH OTHERS NOT IN DIRECT LINE MANAGEMENT
- A STRONG PEER GROUP TEAM PLAYER
