Senior Manager, Hedge Accounting, London, £750

The candidate must have: * Qualified accountant with 7-10 years PQE * Established senior manager * Knowledge of treasury products gained in a banking environment * Extensive hedge accounting experience * Deep understanding of IAS 39 as it applies to hedge accounting * Proficient with Microsoft Excel * Ability to develop relationships across Treasury and with other business areas The role will have a wide remit but the key responsibilities will be: * Provide technical input to hedge accounting policy * Identify IAS 39 compliant strategy through close liaison with the bank * Identify and develop appropriate models for strategy implementation * Keep strategy under review in light of changes to accounting rules and business model * Maintain / update models * Source model inputs and run models * Manage P&L volatility for the whole of the bank * Prepare / post monthly hedge accounting entries * Prepare monthly MI analysis explaining effectiveness of P&L volatility management This is an exciting role and a chance to be part of a leading bank on a large programme.
