Senior Linux System Engineer - Basel
Are you a SYSTEM ENGINEER looking for new opportunities, then why don't you look further and apply now!
This is a challenging CONTRACTING position starting from February until the end of the year for one of the biggest pharmaceutical company based in Basel.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Senior Linux System Engineer you will work for a global biomedical research organization. In overall, you will be responsible for the technical design, service management aspects and automation of the Linux environment to guarantee timely, efficient and uninterrupted service to scientists. Additionally, you will develop applications tools to manage performance, viability and capacity etc.
YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:
- Minimum 10 YEARS' experience as Linux System Engineer
- In-depth knowledge in SCRIPTING/AUTOMATION (Bash, Perl, Python, PHP)
- Strong experience with cloud computing platforms (Amazon AWS)
- Deep knowledge in CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT (CHEF)
- Experience in Building prototypes and pilots
- Ability to MANAGE multiple INTERNAL and EXTERNAL ORGANIZATIONS
- A first experience in pharmaceutical industry will be appreciated
- Excellent communication in ENGLISH
