Senior Linux System Administrator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR LINUX ADMINISTRATOR to join our client in Philadelphia, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for activities related to systems administration; installing, configuring and maintaining operating system workstations and Servers including web Servers, in support of business processing requirements.
- Responsible for the integrity of the computer software
- Ability to define procedures for monitoring and evaluating multiple system environments.
- Direct other team members and may act as a project coordinator.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems of a project.
- Direct other team members.
- Makes technical recommendations to correct issues and makes recommendations for long term solutions.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree and four (4) years experience
- Red Hat Linux RHCSE certification a plus
- Linux Virtualization certified or equivalent experience.
- Recent experience in a mission-critical, operational role.
- Exchange, securities, financial industry experience
- Self-starter, independent worker; Team mindset
- Very good written and verbal communications required
- On call, 24x7 support required at times
- TRAVEL REQUIRED 10%
- Has experience with state of the art software packages and is highly proficient.
