Senior Linux System Administrator

Yoh has a (12) MONTH PLUS contract opportunity for a SENIOR LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR to join our client in Santa Monica, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of ON-SITE AND HOSTED SYSTEMS AND THEIR ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE PRODUCTS.
- You will work directly with the technology staff to provide support to internal and hosted services and databases as well as third-party software products.
- Responsibilities include SYSTEM PERFORMANCE MONITORING, PROVIDING RECOMMENDATIONS TO MANAGEMENT REGARDING ARCHITECTURAL DIRECTION, and performing ongoing hardware and software maintenance and enhancements to our systems infrastructure.
- Designs/implements complex local and wide-area networks of machines.
- Manages a large, complex site or network.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- More than five (5) years of previous system administration experience.
- Experienced in LINUX (FEDORA AND/OR RHEL) AND SERVER VIRTUALIZATION (KVM or preferably VMWare)
- Ability to program in PERL AND SHELL (PYTHON AND RUBY A PLUS)
- Cisco Switches (IOS) and Firewalls (ASA) - a significant portion of this job may be installing/upgrading Firewalls and deploying 10Gb Switches
