Based in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ, we are a fast growing and leading digital marketing agency. Due to growth, we are looking for an exceptional Sr. Linux DevOps Engineer with strong experience with Web Servers, Scripting, and Cloud services. If you are the kind of person that loves to have your hands in a little bit of everything from Scripting to release engineering to monitoring and tuning then we may have just the position for you.

What you'll be doing:
- Monitor, maintain, and ensure performance of production web, application and database Servers
- Building and maintaining Linux boxes with an understanding of the security implications of implementing web Servers, database Servers, ftp Servers, DNS Servers
- Consult on jobs & applications and then take them over to be optimized and "operationalized" prior to handing off to the operations and support teams
- Provide engineering and design support for Hadoop build, configuration, monitoring and supportability
- Contribute to the selection, prototyping, implementation and support of tools such as capacity planning and system monitoring for large scale data environments
- Provide expert level support of the systems and the data pipelines of the AWS and Hadoop infrastructures
- Scripting and troubleshooting web-based applications
- Ensure backups and disaster recovery plans are current

What you need to have:
1.) 4+ years experience with Linux Systems Administration and concepts (processes, cron, bash, top). Experience should include installation, tuning, backup, and monitoring of systems

2.) Experience with building and maintaining web Servers (Apache/Tomcat), J2EE application Servers, ftp Servers, DNS (and GeoDNS) Servers, subversion Servers

3.) Database experience, preferably MySQL, required

4.) Experience with data warehousing and deep understanding of "big data" architecture

5.) BS in Computer Science or equivalent level of experience

Nice to Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop and MapReduce strongly desired
Knowledge and experience with parallel ETL tools
Strong experience in Shell, Perl, PHP or similar Scripting languages, required
Experience with ESX Virtual environments
Experience with manipulating very large data sets at a cloud-scale
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Networking fundamentals with Routers, Switches, Firewalls and load balancers

If hired, we can offer you 3 options:
a.) Contract - $45/hr - $50/hr
b.) Contract to Hire
