WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS JOB?
Candidates need 5-8years Java experience and need to have worked in a disciplined development environment. Emphasis is on communications skills and teamwork. We encourage interest from young enthusiastic developers with an interest in a fast track career in a high energy environment where there is good exposure to a modern technologies.
A good mix of knowledge within the following;
- Java JEE
- Spring (Framework, Integration)
- Hibernate/JPA
- JMS, REST
- Junit, EasyMock
- JBoss, Weblogic, Tomcat
- SQL
- CVS, SVN
- XML, JSON
Knowledge of Java tools such as:
- IntelliJ
- maven
- Jira
- FitNesse
- GIT
- Selenium
- Jenkins
Experience of Financial Messaging Standards - SWIFT or others, is an advantage.
Working within an Agile environment is desirable.
WHAT OTHER ATTRIBUTES WILL I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
Developers will be responsible for delivery of project components according to Functional Requirements Specifications. They must be comfortable with working to technical designs and perform unit testing, integration testing and supporting system testing.
Project methodologies include both Waterfall and Agile.
