SENIOR JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER - ZURICH
My major Banking client in Zurich, Switzerland, requires the services of an external/contract senior Java software engineer to start ASAP. This candidate must be able to speak both English and German.
The initial term of the contract will be for 2 months to conduct (and be responsible for) a feasibility study for major upgrades of the clients portal applications and services to a newer platform. Post the successful fulfilment of this project, the candidate will likely be retained further to work on the implementations, migrations and high level support of these applications. Therefore please be prepared for a potential long term engagement.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS NEEDED:
-Java EE 5, 6, 7
-JDBC, JNDI, EJB, JSP, Servlets, XML, JMS, JTA
-Weblogic, Application Server, JBoss
-Liferay portal framework (potentially also JBoss Portal and Weblogic ALUI)
-JUnit, EasyMock, JSF, Prime Faces, RichFaces, EJB3, Hibernate, OpenJPA
-JMS with WebSphere MQ
-Unix and Shell Scripts
-SQL and Oracle Databases
KEY EXPERIENCES NEEDED:
-Previous experience working with financial/banking applications
-Structured defect management, tracking, documentation
-Managing projects (especially small scale one-man projects)
-Requirements recording, writing business and technical specifications and solution designs
