SENIOR APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER FOSTER CITY, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT, EXTENSION LIKELY

MUST HAVE SKILLS: 5+ years experience designing and developing JVM-based applications (Java), and Spring based applications using MVC architecture; JavaScript and HTML development; JQuery; RESTful web service API development; SQL Knowledge.

This position is for a Senior Software Engineer who will architect, design and build the next generation of web applications for our client s enterprise and small business platforms. This includes building the web applications and API services that will work with different browsers and programs. As a senior member of the engineering team, s/he will need to architect the systems with multiple layers and will also be responsible for designing solutions and helping team members with the implementation. S/He will need to focus on customer s needs and be responsible on qualities.

POSITION DETAILS

- Architect technical solutions given complex business requirements and problems.
- Design and develop highly scalable REST API services on Java platforms and open source technologies such as Spring, etc.
- Design and develop responsive web application and interfaces with recent technologies such as HTML5, jQuery, etc.
- Improve and refactor existing web application and API services.
- Follow Engineering Excellence practices of unit testing, separation of concerns and other design best practices to build reusable and maintainable UI and Back End components.
- Mentor and help guide the team to achieve technical and business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

- BS in Computer Science
- 5+ years experience designing and developing JVM-based applications and Spring based applications using MVC architecture.
- Expertise in client side JavaScript frameworks
- Experience developing Responsive Web Design apps
- Familiar with various open source projects and best practices to develop web and service applications
- 5+ years of experience writing production quality SQL/stored procedures
- Excellent written and communication skills and leadership potential
