Senior Java/Scala Developer - Antwerp (Belgium)

Context:

Our client is a big player on the European Energy Market.

Responsibilities:

- You will be in charge of writing Back End code for the company's platform.
- You will implement new features and improvements in the codebase based on Java and Scala.
- You will be in charge of extending the big data framework which is built on top of Hadoop/Cassandra and Spark.
- You will be in charge of improving DevOps by improving the company's cloud deployment automation and monitoring.
- You will take part in architectural discussions

Profile:

- Master in Computer Science, Civil Engineering or Applied Engineering. Other exceptional candidates with proven track record will be considered.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Java developer. Preferably with experience in implementation in complex environment.
- You are an Expert on Java, Spring, Hibernate, SQL and Maven.
- You have knowledge of REST services and rich web user interface development.
- You have basic knowledge of Linux.
- You know your way around with Scala.
- Knowledge of Python, Cassandra, MongoDB, Spark, JavaScript, AngularJS and Wicket is a plus.
- Fluent in English, French or Dutch is a plus.
