Senior Java/J2EE Developer (Big Data)

For a leading client in Brussels, we are looking for a freelance Senior Java/J2EE Developer.

Description:

Responsible for the analysis, design, and development of Java/J2EE software as part of a software development team.

Applicant needs to have experience with Big Data technologies, specifically experience with Scala and Mongo DB

Requirements:
- 7+ years SW development experience
- 5+ years J2EE development
- 1+ years Scala development
- 1+ years Mongo DB development
- Experience developing entire stack of J2EE technologies (DB, middle-tier, Front End)
- Experience developing Web Services
- Experience with ORM (object relational mapping) technologies
- Experience with Linux and development on a unix based system
- Strong communication skills
- Works independently and is self-motivated, with a knack for taking the initiative, overcoming obstacles - Ability to work effectively with others within a team and across the organization.
- Able to quickly master and apply new technologies, and stay abreast of industry trends.
- BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering field

Preference will be given to those candidates who have:
- Experience with Hadoop
- Experience with ElasticSearch
- Experience with Flume
