Senior Java Developers (Back End)

A team of Dutch speaking Senior Java Developers (Back End) are required for my globally recognised Financial client on a long term project. The right Senior Java Developers (Back End) will be offered a dynamic working environment as well as an excellent rate of pay.

As the Senior Java Developers (Back End) you will be working within the Mobile development team and will specialise in the development of Java Back End. The mobile feature teams consist of Dev, Ops, UX and business colleagues to develop and maintain the mobile banking app. The Back End has to be quality controlled by fully automated tests and have to be performance tested for which the Senior Java Developers are responsible as well. We work according to a SCRUM Agile development process releasing a new version of the Back End every sprint.
The level of expertise and experience within the Mobile department is very high and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We don't forget to have some fun while crafting our apps. We have a high bar and want an experienced Senior Java Developers with proven track record to raise it even further.

THE RIGHT SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPERS (BACK END):

- Minimal a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or comparable (HBO opleiding)
- Strong skills in Java software development and experience in design and development of complex, secure and performant applications.
- Interest in technology and stay up-to-date on relevant new developments
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in creating highly scalable mission-critical applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Java including the Spring framework
- It is an advantage if you have experience in Android or iOS development as well.
- Experience with test driven development & test automation
- Real world OO design experience and knowledge of design patterns
- Sound knowledge of relational databases (eg Oracle, MySQL). Knowledge of NoSQL datastores, while not mandatory, is a strong nice-to-have
- Knowledge of Scala and Akka is a nice-to-have
- Experience with at least one modern Scripting language
- Dutch and/or English speaking and writing skills
- Good social and communication skills
- Experience in Agile/scrum or scrum master
- You are familiar with continuous Integration tools like: GIT, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Nexus and are able to configure these tools.
- You have knowledge of XML, JSON, REST, web-services
