Senior Java Developer, Zurich, asap, 12 Months +

For a long-term engagement at a bank in Zurich, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer as follows:

Begin: ASAP

Duration: 12 months + renewal option

Utilization: 100%

Location: Zurich

TASKS

- Developing new features in line with the business specifications in the area of Pricing (Equity/FX/Commodities/Interest Rates, Fixed Income) which requires experience in high throughput, low-latency, variety of integrations and high availability systems.
- Design/implement architectural changes in order to cope with non-functional requirements, eg scalability.
- Building Real Time monitoring tools and GUIs that can add value not only on the support side, but also on the business side.
- Developing Unit Tests, participate in the System Integration Testing and get involved with the User Acceptance Testing
- Developing the system administration and setup scripts for the system.
- Second and third level support of the production system

NECESSARY EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (MUST)

- 4+ years' experience in software development
- Significant Java experience with multi-threaded and/or asynchronous programming
- Experience with market data feeds, low latency, high performance
- Good Shell Scripting skills and Linux knowledge.
- Experience using Complex Event Processing systems would be a plus (eg StreamBase (preferred), Apama etc.)
- Fluent in English (must)
- Good experience to work in an international, dynamic and diversified environment
- Good communication skills
- Bachelor/Polytechnic/University in Computer Science is a must
- Very motived individual who enjoys new challenges
- Able to work independent/taking ownership
- Very good team player
- Well-developed communication skills
- Able to quick context switching from new features development to production support and vice versa.

NICE TO HAVE

- Web development skills are a plus.
- Experience in financial industry especially in FX and Equities, trading environment
- German knowledge is a plus
